Red-eye, delayed connection, midnight arrival: it makes no difference. Every one of our 23 buildings checks in at the Seagull, 1915 North Ocean Drive, and the desk there never closes. You get your keys and your parking permit, and a golf cart runs you and your bags to your building. Arriving before your room is ready? The desk holds your luggage while you walk to the beach.

The night before a cruise
Sixteen minutes from Port Everglades
Fly in the day before, sleep by the ocean instead of by the highway, and reach the terminal in about 16 minutes the next morning. Check-out is 11am, which suits most sailings, and late check-out is available when the schedule allows. Two computers at the front desk print boarding passes. If you are driving, parking is $18 plus tax per day with a permit from the desk; ask about anything longer than your stay.
Coming off the ship? The same 16 minutes back, a heated pool by mid-morning, and breakfast the next day at Casa Pellegrino, 7:45 to 9:15.
Not an airport hotel

The hotels by the runway are convenient for one thing. For the same drive it takes to reach a rental car return, you can be at the sand, with five heated pools open 9am to 9pm, a complimentary continental breakfast every morning, and a kitchenette or full kitchen in every room. Miami is a day trip one way, Fort Lauderdale the other, and you come home to the same fair-priced room.

Yes. Baggage storage is available at the front desk, so an early arrival or a late flight does not cost you a beach day.
Parking is $18 plus tax per day, with a permit issued at check-in. Permits are valid until 11am on the day you check out. Every building has a lot on or next to the property; if it is full, the desk directs you to another of ours within about a three-minute walk.
